There are hundreds, if not thousands, of restaurants in Kraków, but only a couple of them can claim being the best of the best. These certainly include the Trzy Rybki Restaurant, located in the Stary Hotel.

The high standard of the Trzy Rybki Restaurant has been recognised by Michelin jurors, who distinguished the venue with a plate with three sets of cutlery in their famous Michelin Red Guide. The authors of the Guide award the following to the restaurants:
- Michelin stars - for the taste of the dishes (from one to three stars);
- Cutlery - for the décor, quality of service and atmosphere of the restaurant (from one to five);
- Bib Gourmand - for value for money.

Kraków's Trzy Rybki restaurant, located in the luxurious Stary Hotel in the very heart of the city, also received the prestigious recommendation of Slow Food Polska. The snail – the symbol of the Slow Food movement - is given only to dishes distinguished by the highest of quality, made out of regional products. The restaurant's menu combines tradition with a modern twist. It refers to traditional Polish cuisine and changes with the seasons. Spring and summer are a time for fresh vegetables, asparagus and artichokes. In autumn and winter, game, mushrooms and forest fruits play a key role in the menu; however, all the dishes offer subtle and innovative arrangements. In addition, the restaurant offers an extensive wine menu that will satisfy connoisseurs and wine aficionados.
